A NOTE FROM HUW AND RACHEL CHRISTOPHER

Greetings from Tustin, California, where I am happy to report that Rachel and I are doing well. We are still staying with Micol, Chin and Andy in Tustin where we have been since mid March. With the uncertainty of when schools will start in person for Micol and Chin as community college professors and for Andy with pre-school, I am not certain how much longer we will be here. We have been pleased, though, that we have been able to be of help here and appreciate how they have taken care of us "seniors'! We are also pleased to hear by e-mail and phone calls that all is well back at our home at Monte Vista Grove ln Pasadena. Like so many of you, ! am sure, we have been trying to adjust to all of the unexpected changes because of Covid-19. Fortunately, Rachel has been doing very well and tolerating the survivorship medications without any problem, so we have gotten adjusted to follow-up doctors' appointments by telehealth or phone calls and even to getting medications delivered by mail. We are so pleased that we are not in the midst of her chemotherapy treatments or radiation treatments as we were a year ago. Even her hair has grown back so much that she is anxious to get a haircut when the beauty parlors are allowed to open again. We have gotten more and more accustomed to doing our shopping on smileamazon.com or Walmart.com instead of ln person. Today we had anticipated being in Pittsburgh for the start of another Stephen Ministry Leaders' Training Course, then on to Philadelphia for the North American Festival of Wales and then visiting with family ln Tennessee before returning home. COVID-19, of course, has changed all of these plans, as lam sure they have changed many of yours. Like so many, we will miss all of the opportunity to visit with friends and family al these various functions we had hoped to attend. We also have missed the fellowship of our fellow residents at Monte Vista Grove as well as at Calvary Presbyterian Church. We hope and pray that all of you are doing well and adjusting well to all of the changes of these most unusual times. We appreciate al! of your thoughts and prayers for Rachel and myself and just wanted to share this brief update with everyone.

North American Festival of Wales
On Demand: September 4-30

One of the many pleasures of our retirement years has been to travel to various places in the United States and Canada to share in the North American Festival of Wales each year over the Labor Day weekend. This year we would like to invite you to join us without leaving your home as this year's festival, originally scheduled to be in Philadelphia, will be available virtually from September 4 through September 30 on the website at www.nafow,org If you would like more information about this festival which will include seminars about Wales and the Welsh in North America and some great Welsh music by soloists and Cor y Penrhyn (from Bethesda in North Wales, where Bob Parry's family originated) please contact us al huwchristopher@gmail.org or (850) 209-6931. We are sorry that Covid-19 means we cannot be in Philadelphia over Labor Day this year but we are happy to enable you in this way to experience this year's festival with us.
