A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT

I begin my remarks with a hearty word of thanks to those who agreed to be a part of the REC reopening" Team. They have ably assisted us all in coming back to at least a modicum of normalcy here at the Grove. Chaired by Karen Berns, and including Bev Grant, Jeannie Cobb, Norm Thomas and Bruce Calkins, the group has made steady strides in bringing us back together.

With the gracious help of MVGH staff (up to and including driving the cart to transport people from area to area), Wine and Nibbles has been resumed. Led by Jeannie Cobb, with the able assistance of Rebecca Thompson, more than 35 of us gathered for a masked hymn sing. And more events are on the way!

In all of that, I do have one observation to share, though. As much as we like to sing, as much as we like to share in a spot of refreshment ... what we enjoy the MOST is simply being able to be together, face-to-face, without masks and socializing with one another! How good it is to share openly with our friends once again!! A happy and safe 4th of July to you all!
