REBORN AMONG THE ROSES

It was a grey day

Inside and out

I'd known brighter hours

The fate of all our kind

Unburdened by

Any obligation

I ambled down a

Shaded path

To an open garden gate

Where

I ventured in

I was greeted by a vision of

Breathtaking beauty such as I

Had never seen

As a multitude of roses smiled

With lovely faces

Nodding a greeting in a

Gentle breath of breeze

In that sacred moment

A near transcendent light

Illumined a near-divine display

Along the path

Violet, fuchsia, crimson, gold

Countless forms and faces

Smiled up at me

A wondrous gathering where

Each might be

The work of an angel

Sitting in a quiet nook Of Paradise

Carefully shaping Heaven's love

Into a flower

So was I enfolded

Senses born anew in a

Dawn of new delight

The air once hard and cold

Now soft

Warm

Caressing

So was a grey and gloomy day

Transformed

The gift of a lovely garden

And sacred beauty of

Flowers
