Art Class for Beginners with Lynn Snowden
- You may be have hidden artistic talents waiting to be discovered.
- Or, without apparent talent, you may want to explore art as a way to express yourself.
- You may want to try this "yoga of the mind" with brush and paint- towards wellness.
Lynn Snowden, a good friend of MVGH, will lead us in a workshop on watercolor for four Tuesday mornings - 9/14, 10/12, 11/9, 12/14 - in our Art Cottage (#A23). Lynn was born and raised in Pasadena area. A 1976 graduate of UCLA, she has multiple teaching credentials as well as a masters degree in educational administration and curriculum development. For 37 years Lynn taught grades 1- 8 in Boston, Menlo Park and Alhambra. Her favorite assignments in her nearly four decades career were as an internet art teacher, and as arts coordinator for the Alhambra Unified School District. Lynn has worked with people of all ages both individually as well as in a class setting. She said: "I am excited many of you at the Grove are interested in discovering your inner artist. I know we are going to have a terrific time together. Many of us also know her as the mother of Brad, who volunteered at MVGH for over 10 years.
Since we are still in a pandemic and need to practice social distancing, the number of participants will be limited. For registration and more information please contact Rebecca Thompson or Jean Woo.
