Ahab's Wife Book Review
Ahab's Wife by Sen Jeter Naslund (MVGH Library0
Words fail to capture how this book captured me, reaching deep, really, really, deep, into my soul, with a voice, I suppose, not unlike my own, which is some reason why I find Una (the central character) to be a friend, a companion. She's honest and humble, and likely those two dimensions are sisters. I speak of Una as if she were real, and in some senses, isn't that the truth about a great novel, and its many voices? As real as real can be, but not flesh and blood, but dear friend, nonetheless.
